Start up Spark to Worldwide
support
The first step
In 2013, Simon Bayley, our founder, made the decision to leave his current employment and take Ask4Support forward as a full-time business. He set up shop in a small office at Monument Business Park in Chalgrove, and started to offer IT support to local businesses and primary schools around Wallingford. A humble beginning, allowing us to build trust within our neighbourhood.
Growth with the right people
By April 2014, reputation grew, more opportunities came, and in turn
we needed an extra pair of hands – enter David Dewey. Joining as a contractor with the skill set and ethic needed for the business, Simon and David’s collaboration became instrumental to the growth of the business.
In November 2015 – Simon and David moved into a converted garage at Simon’s home, serving as a small office and workshop. November 2017 saw David joining A4S full time as a Shareholder and Technical Director. His leadership and technical insight helped us improve how we worked and led the way of driving innovative ways to grow the company.
Adapting through Covid-19
2020 was a year of challenges across the world – and like many businesses, we had to adapt quick. The pandemic saw a rise in demand of remote working solutions, which meant we found ourselves in a position of helping our clients adjust to new ways of operating.
To meet growing demand, we brought in more technical staff and despite the economic uncertainty, we experienced rapid growth by providing essential remote working technology and solutions to our client base.
A pivotal milestone
Where we are now
Today – we’re proud to have a dedicated 24/7 support team, a fully operational project delivery and management function, a client base spanning three continents and an active apprenticeship program, developing new talent into the industry.
